Blessings from the Immortal Himalayas

Prashant Roy and Ruchi Gupta

“There is an experience so exquisite and eternal that one remains intoxicated for the rest of one’s life. It only lasts a moment and this is self realization.”

After spending many years growing up, studying and working in Europe, in 2012 Prashant decided to return to India. At the time unknowingly, to take up a new found approach and way of life. Perhaps the most difficult and only one worth pursuing. A path that is in itself most ancient and eternal in its nature. Upon his return, by pure coincidence and a little searching he met his Shamanic teacher Paul Hinsberger. After many months of reading, visiting ashrams and further contemplation, he decided to complete a Yoga Teacher Training course, 200 RYT, from the Yoga Institute of Bombay. This was in preparation for what would come in Rishikesh in the form of Swami Veda who served as a strong guide into Meditation and the Himalayan Lineage. Eventually he went on to spend many years sitting on the banks of the Ganga river, in Benaras, where he studied Trika Tantra, Bhairava Yoga, Kashmir Shaivism under the tutelage of Mark Dyczkowski and Bettina Bäumer.

Prashant is an independent practitioner and walks his own spiritual path. He is also a part of the spiritual traditions and lineages of Swami Lakshmanjoo, the last living master/tantrik of Kashmir Shaivism and Swami Rama who was a tradition in himself and a master of Yogic sciences. He is a practitioner of core shamanism, a universal system that was cultivated by Michael Harner in North America. Along the way he has met many spiritual guides. Taking inspiration from Baba Rampuri of the Datta Akhara, Baba Govinda the poet yogi, Guru Padmasambhava who founded Vajrayana and various others. Initiated in the Kali Kula, Uttara Kaula Sampradaya of Mahendranath Dadaji.

Ruchi was given to Spirituality & Yoga Meditation at a tender age where she learnt mostly through oral, written and practical traditions. There was always a calling that may have been left unanswered for years, otherwise known as becoming an adult. However, the curiosity to understand religion and spirituality was so magnetic & enigmatic, which eventually led me to the ever changing world of spirituality. As, my interest to gain esoteric knowledge and wisdom since then started growing stronger towards mysticism, magic, alchemy, history and philosophy, that were profoundly captivating subjects to study and apply in life. Thus, in the later years I studied, learnt and practiced different yogic asanas, shastras, tantras, vedas, upanishads, cultures, religions, traditions etc.. to understand the depth of oneself and its significance on our routine lives, so to experience the entire world in all its aspects. The hunger to know or learn more is never ending, as the source is limitless. And we as human species have been given grace of Intellect/Knowledge (Prana Kundalini), Will (Shakti Kundalini), and Action (Para Kundalini) that is infinite. Also, the base has always been spirituality so connection with the nature and its elements were my teachers at every step of this journey, which also reflects who I am today and how far I have come as an individual & universal soul.

My journey started at the age of 1-2 years old, through Elder’s giving Gayatri mantra for chanting and teaching about Homa ritual (Sacred Fire ceremony). Then later on, as growing up was introduced to Krishna Consciousness inspired by the teachings of Srila Prabhupada, Meher Baba – Sufism, Sai Baba of Shirdi – Bhakti. Further, life experiences deepened with the understanding of Usui Reiki, Smudging, Healing Oils & Body Work Massage, Akashic Records Reading & Rewriting, Magnified Healing Teachings, Womb Work and ample of different Shamanic practices. Along the way, met many great teachers on spiritual path and Paul Hinsberger who was a Shamanic Practitioner was amongst one of them. However, after meeting her Guru & friend in Benaras, she decided to learn Kashmir Shaivism, Bhairava Darshana, Tantras & Yoga, Shaktism, Kaulācāra Vidya still continuing to add more to her current energetic healing abilities that were otherwise limited to Shamanic or Reiki Practices. In her leisure time she travels, explores, cooks, sings, dances, writes poetry and a personal blog. Thus, this spirit & life continues on its spiritual journey by learning, sharing and spreading the learnings and teachings, with much deeper understanding of life and its choices towards it with complete acceptance, awareness, love, humility, compassion and prosperity to live in present and look at the world with fresh and expansive point of view like an Eagle.
